EPILOGUE
A balmy breeze lapped around Sakurai Sho’s face. The sun was standing high up in the sky and its wonderful warmth was shining down on the earth. Sho was standing at the edge of a mountain, hands resting on the handrail and looking down at the wide Tokyo which was lying in front of him. So many houses could be seen but also much green and at the horizon you could also make out bits of the shoreline.
Dreamily he let his gaze slide along the scenery. It was quiet up there where he was standing. No noise from the city could be heard; only the chipper of the birds got through to his ear.
“Ne Satoshi, you like the view here, right? It’s really beautiful!” Sho continued to look down on the busy city where one car after the other passed the highway. A view minutes went by like this and he only turned around when a faint clicking could be heard behind him. But the only thing he could see was a tiny squirrel that rushed swiftly above the ground to the next tree.
Disappointment and sadness reflected in Sho’s eyes when he slowly raised his gaze and looked at a big somber stone which hulked up in front of him. At this sight he suddenly felt a cold shiver running down his back, a lump in his throat and he felt as if an invisible hand would slowly rip his heart out of his chest.
Every time it was like this. Every time when his eyes recognized the inscription of the stone and the horrible reality overtook him. Slowly he sacked down on his knees, his eyes still lingering on the characters which were engraved in front of him.
Ohno Satoshi *Nov 26.1980 †April 24.2008
Sho realized how tears shot into his eyes and how his body got shaken from the pain of the reality.
It has already been many months since the ominous night that had thrown his live off track.
When Ohno had left this world, he had also lost the reason for his life. Sho hadn’t shown up for days, hadn’t eaten, hadn’t slept and completely neglected his work. He only sat at home, isolated from the outer world; his gaze constantly focusing the TV on which one Arashi video after the other was shown. His apartment soon resembled a small rubbish dump but only like this he could be happy; only like this he could live on. Because the videos were the only thing that was left of his Satoshi and they gave him the feeling as if the older one was still alive and with him. He could see Ohno how he waved happily towards the audience, how he had fun together with them and how his bright smile flickered on the screen. The DVDs gave Sho what he missed so immensely: Ohno’s breathtaking dance skills, his voice that touched him so much, that shiny smile that let the sun rise.
But it was Jun’s words that brought Sho back to his senses. He still had them in his mind, remembered too clearly how the youngest member suddenly rushed into his apartment, seized him by the collar and told him quiet clearly with a sharp voice:
„I’m at the end of my patience with you! It is one thing to grieve but another to neglect work, friends and most of all yourself! Just look what has happened to you! Do you think Ohno would be happy to see you like this?! In such a bad state living at a rubbish dump?! My god, he would be totally ashamed of you! This here Sho-kun is not what Ohno wanted! Surely not! Ohno always wanted only the best for all of us! He surely would have wanted that you continue your life and enjoy it that you can do and experience all the things that he couldn’t do anymore! Damn it Sho! Live your life! Don’t throw it away! Life for yourself and for Ohno! That is what Ohno wishes! That and nothing else!“
Only those words had awoken Sho from his trance and had given him a reason to live his life as normal as possible. He wanted to live on for his Satoshi, wanted to do and see all the things that he couldn’t anymore.
And so he fought from day to day to gain control of his life again, but no matter where he went to or what he did there was always something that remembered him of his Leader and the deep-seated pain rose inside of him again. And every time he went to the grave of the older one and looked down on the wide city somehow out of no reason a feeling of hope came up in him. A hope that Ohno wasn’t lying underneath that stone but would jump out from behind a tree and would look at him with a mischievous smile. He always had that hope within him when standing there and every time again his world broke apart when this hope got crushed. Like this time also.
Drowned in tears he was now sitting in front of the stone. His hand embraced the cloth of his shirt right above his heart. There was one thought pounding in his mind:
‘My world got crushed on that evening and no matter how hard I try to rebuild it, it will never become like this again... never ever…’
With this realization in mind he slowly raised his voice.
“Satoshi, I’m… sorry. So sorry…!” shaky those words came over his lips. „I can not… I just... cannot go on… anymore. I’m not able … to live on … for you… I’m even... not able... to continue… to live for … myself… I’m ... too weak! I miss you so badly! … Please forgive me!”
After that Sho slowly reached into his pocket. Beneath the bright spring-sun there was suddenly a knife flashing in his hands. He raised his hand and…
Soaked in sweat, with wild beating heart and hard breathing Sho jumped up in his bed. A few ray of lights got through the blinds and except for the ticking of the clock there was dead silence. When looking at the LED screen of his alarm clock he noticed that it was just three in the morning. Slowly Sho raised his hands and let his head rest within them. He tried to calm himself from the shock of the dream just now, but his breath and his wild beating pulse just couldn’t come to rest.
Sho could still remember the dream too clearly and it hurt him too much. He felt how tears gathered in his eyes. “Satoshi…!” shaky he said that name. The first teardrop wanted to run down his cheek when he suddenly felt a pressure around his chest, also a slight breeze which brushed his neck. A slight shiver went through him and his eyes widened out of surprise.
“Sho, you had this dream again… but everything is ok. I’m here with you! So please lie down again, we have to wake up early tomorrow!” He could hear those sleepy words really near his ear. After that Sho felt how soft lips were placed upon his neck and stroke him gently; the unpleasant shiver changed into a pleasant one. The gentle hands that were embracing his chest pushed him now down with a strong-willed grip and soon he felt the warm mattress beneath his back again.
Those two hands were now sliding down to his waist and when he turned his gaze to his chest he could see a dark shock of hair that nestled there quietly and was already breathing steadily again.
A soft smile appeared on Sho’s face. Gently he stroke over the smooth hair a few times before he bent down, placed a tender kiss on the shock of hair, breathed in the scent of the other and finally embraced him with his arms to get even closer to him.
With the feeling of embracing his beloved all nightmares were forgotten immediately and he was able to gain his sleep again.
When everything that has happened became clear again to Sho the next day, he was more than glad. On how the two of them could normally be together each and everyday. And it was all the small things that he loved the most, like just the feeling to have Satoshi by his side. And so, even the short way towards the green room of TV Nihon became one of the nicest moments in his life. Just because they were together.
And even when Ohno rushed immediately to Nino and sat down right beside him when they entered the room didn’t matter much to him, cause he knew exactly that his heart only belonged to him.
Sho sat down beside Aiba, opened the newspaper with a relaxing feeling while his gaze went once again to his boyfriend happily. Yes, he could only be happy.
While he slowly became engrossed in his newspaper, Nino slid closer to Ohno, his eyes staring on his DS, so that their knees touched each other.
“Well, slept well?” he asked Ohno while he was still looking down on his console.
The older nodded slightly. “Yes, I did, but Sho did not.”
Now also Aiba was interfering in the talk worriedly. “Eh? Why not?” He slid closer to Sho and blinked at him with a worried gaze. But instead of the rapper he got the answer from Ohno. “He had this dream again.” As soon as those words were spoken there could be heard a surprised and also slightly irritated “Eh, again?” from Nino immediately because it seemed that this wasn’t the first time that Arashi’s rapper had such a dream. However, Sho did not want this would go a circuit and so he tried his best to defuse the situation.
“Ah that was surely only because I had watched one of those damn sad movies on TV… I’m always so touched!”
For a short while there was silence like the other member would check if this was an acceptable answer.
But instantly it was clear that Sho had no success with it because Aiba was now telling his opinion of this topic to the others. “Hm, well, I think that Sho-chan is just afraid of losing Ohchan!” Saying that a huge smile spread on his face and he began to poke Sho with his elbow into the side which the older one tried to ignore as much as possible while still concentrating on his newspaper.
But there was someone else that was kind of interesting in Aiba’s words. Nino had immediately pricked up his ear’s and was as keen as mustard about this idea. Grinning he put aside his DS and placed his head on Ohno’s lap now. A scrutinizing look went to Sho but when the older didn’t even raise one eyebrow he snuggled his head further in the lap of the smaller one.
“Well, there is reason enough for Sho-chan to be afraid of losing Oh-chan. You cannot hold it against him, ne?”
He now looked at the older one hoping for approval but he only grinned at him. But this was already enough for Nino.
“I think we should absolutely revive Ohmiya SK again!” to put more meaning into his words he slowly raised his arm to Ohno’s head and placed his fingers softly on the older one’s cheek.
He only got a surprised “Eh..?” as answer.
Sho looked up from his newspaper for a short while, as he was kind of interested what happened to his boyfriend. But he knew exactly what Nino tried to achieve.
“If you think that you can make me jealous then you are wrong.” A short glance was exchanged with Nino and then Sho was already looking at the supposedly more interesting newspaper again.
A grumble could be heard from the other side of the room. Nino really had hoped for another reaction. He wasn’t the craftiest member for nothing; he still had something up his sleeve.
“Eh really? Even if I’ll do… with Ohchan… yet? Here on the sofa…?” With one flip he had grabbed the older one, knocked him over and placed himself over him. Another glance went to Sho, nastily grinning.
An amused chuckle came out of the rapper’s throat, he didn’t even raise his gaze, only saw from the corner of his eyes what Nino was doing with his boyfriend.
“Forget it! Doesn’t work!”
But Nino didn’t want to give up so easily. He now bent down further to the smaller one beneath him, so near that the tips of their noses touched each other. A grin flashed up on his face. He wanted to continue to tease Sho, yes he really wanted to educe a reaction from him, but suddenly he froze.
A staff member entered the green room.
“We go on air shortly! Matsumoto-san is already in the studio!” he announced quickly and left the room again immediately without even looking at Nino and Ohno. Seeing those two close to each other physically has always been a normal sight and no one ever wondered about that.
“Well, we will see…” saying those words more to himself Nino stood up from Ohno grinningly, fixed his clothes and went to the studio together with the other members.
During the filming it didn’t get any better. Nino took every chance there was to get close to Ohno, tried his hardest to stand beside him every second.
Back in the green room the younger one of course had to talk to Sho as soon as possible.
“And now, Sho-chan? Jealous? I even fed him!“ He grinned widely and was already looking forward to the reply he longed for.
But to his surprise the rapper began to laugh. He laughed and shook grinningly his head. Nino couldn’t understand Sho’s reactions anymore.“This leaves me cold.” Answered Sho and again a tang of amusement could be heard in his voice that almost drove Nino crazy.
The eyes of the younger one widened and he looked at the rapper dumbfounded. His mouth opened and a long sigh could be heard.
“That’s impossible! You have to get jealous! Just look at what I do with your boyfriend!“ As soon as he had said those words Nino leaned against Ohno again, put his face against the older ones neck and began to kiss the skin there softly and carefully. But only for a short while, cause he didn’t want to exaggerate it although Sho almost forced him to do so.
A slight giggle could be heard from Ohno. It seemed that he didn’t really care about the whole situation. Quite the contrary, he seemed to be happy about the attention and tenderness he got from Nino.
As a reply Sho only sat down on the opposite sofa cozily and began to pack his stuff. Mentally he smiled brightly, but this he could hide quite skillfully. He really had lots of fun to drive Nino crazy with not showing any signs of jealousy.
A faint shout came now from the other side. Nino really looked like he was near the insanity. Doubtfully he raised his head and only stared at Sho for a moment.
“Why don’t you get jealous? That’s impossible!”
Now the rapper stood up after all, looked smilingly to Nino while he came closer to both.
“Why should I?” he started with a soft and convincing sound in his voice, while he sat down on the place beside Nino and his boyfriend. “First… it’s you Nino! And second, I can be 100% sure that there is only one person in Satoshi’s heart. And that’s me after all!”
Before Nino could react on Sho’s speech Aiba already interfered wide grinning. He jumped up from his place and walked giggling to the three of them.
“Ah! That’s the first time that I really see you as a couple!” His grin became even wider saying those words which seemed almost impossible.
“Huh?” was the only response from Sho, because he didn’t really get what the taller one meant with that sentence.
“Well… when seeing you two it’s just as ever! You act totally normal and talk to each other like normal… It seems more like Nino and Ohno are a couple! You two… it’s just normal.”
Nino could only nod affirmatively and hoped really hard that now the jealousy would really struck Sho. Now it was even said that he could be the one at Ohno’s side. That just had to draw the rapper out!
When Sho began to laugh once again, Nino and Aiba almost fell over clichéd.
“Ah… if you mean it like this... well, we can also act different!” stated the rapper suddenly in a sugar-sweet tone while his gaze fell slowly on his boyfriend.
“Ne, Toshi-chan~?”
As if Ohno had already waited for this moment he broke apart from Nino, jumped hastily up and placed himself upon Sho’s lap smilingly.
“Haaaai~ Shosuki~”. An affectionate look got exchanged between the two of them after which Ohno raised his arms and wrapped them around his boyfriend’s neck.
Just at this moment the door opened and an unknowing Matsumoto Jun stepped into the green room. A gaze upon the couple was enough to let him roll his eyes.
“Oh god, who called this forth?! No matter who it was, I will personally wring that someone’s neck! Can someone please stop that?! It makes me queasy!” were his irritated words which made everyone else laugh aloud suddenly.
But the easy going atmosphere suddenly got disturbed abruptly when Sho looked up at the clock and sighed sorrowfully.
“Damn, I have to go to Zero! Sorry, we see each other later, ne?” he said hastily before he pressed a small kiss on his boyfriend’s forehead. The older one could only smile while he stood up from the other so that Sho can rush to his work.
But now Aiba’s loud voice echoed suddenly through the room.
“Awwww~ I saw it! I saw it! Cute~!” He was giggling while he clapped his hands together happily.
Hearing this Sho’s face became slightly red. He turned around and looked at the door shyly.
“Satoshi, you don’t have to wait for me.” He said softly to his boyfriend and rushed out of the green room. This was the first time that he had kissed Ohno in front of the others. Although it wasn’t a real kiss, but still, he felt kind of embarrassed.
Unfortunately he didn’t notice the happy “Hai hai” and waving of Ohno anymore.
When the door closed Nino’s instinct awoke once again and he of course grabbed the chance immediately. He slid closer to Ohno and placed one arm around the older one’s shoulder possessively.
“So? What are we two sweethearts doing now?” he chirped grinningly.
The older one only shrugged with his shoulder. He was totally not affected by the approach of the other.
“Well, I take this opportunity to go and fish our dinner. What about you? If you like you can accompany me” he answered in a loose tone, but knew exactly that this was a sore spot of Nino.
As answer the younger one could only roll his eyes and sigh.
“You are a dead loss...“
Even though he had been told that he shouldn’t wait, Ohno had still waited. As always when Sho had to go to Zero, Ohno had waited, had prepared the dinner in the kitchen and had been happy when his boyfriend finally came home again.
And now they were sitting on the sofa, ignoring the scent of the prepared meal, Sho’s head resting on the older one’s lap. Soft fingers ruffled through the fine hair of Arashi’s rapper.
„Toshi…?“, sounded Sho’s voice silently through the room.
„Hm…?“
„I’m sorry.“
„For what?“
„It’s so nice right now… may I rest like this a bit longer?”
A smile grazed the rapper’s lips while asking.
„Of course… But why are you apologizing?“
„Because the delicious dinner will be getting cold and I could bet that I will become too tired to stand up anymore and instead will just fall asleep on your lap.“
Now Ohno’s laughter, softy and happily, echoed through the room and Sho’s smile grew wider.
“Well… it’s only sashimi.”
But the younger one didn’t really catch Ohno’s words anymore as he slowly got more tired. The day really had been busy for him.
„Sho-chan…?“
Only marginal he noticed that his boyfriend spoke to him.
„Hm?“
„Arigatou!“
Although he has almost fallen asleep he still wondered about that sudden thanks.
„Eh?“
„Ah, just because.“
But now Ohno’s soft voice had totally lulled him. The ruffling through his hair got slower, softer and then he didn’t notice anything around him anymore and finally fell asleep on his boyfriends lap. Totally relaxed and satisfied.
While Ohno still kept running his hand through Sho’s hair his gaze fell on the small table in front of him. There they were spread: their shared memories, held on Polaroid. A bright smile grazed Ohno’s face. It was already enough to fill a whole album but for him it still wasn’t enough. There should be more and more added.
Ohno smiled, lowered his head a little bit and breathed a soft kiss on Sho’s forehead.
„Aishiteru“
Yes… he loved him. After all that had happened and what they had been gone through he could affirm that he loved Sho unconditionally and from the bottom of his heart.

CHAPTER 8
„Satoshi!" suddenly a voice echoed through the room like it came out of nowhere and although Ohno was only a few meters away from his goal now, he stopped reflexively. Why he did that he couldn't really explain himself. The name Satoshi wasn't familiar to him and he also didn't know whom that voice belonged to.
But why did his heart begin to suddenly beat so strongly? No, he wasn't allowed to get distracted, he had to go to the gate which could give him light, warmth and possibly his freedom. But with every step he made towards his goal, a pain went through his heart. A pain that made him feel like he might regret something if he didn't turn around again.
And although he still had the wish to escape that darkness as soon as possible, he slowly turned around towards the direction from where the mysterious voice had come from. First he couldn't make out anything except the darkness. But then, bit by bit, something began to take shape from the same distance as the gate which was now at his back.
Ohno could see the outlines of a person then it became clearer until he was looking into the face of a man.
Ohno sized him up slowly and thoroughly. That stranger was a bit taller than him, had dark brown hair, full lips, beautiful dark eyes; their age also shouldn't differ too much. Riida's gaze stuck on his eyes which strangely cast a spell over him. He got the feeling that he had looked into the same pair of eyes once already, but could that really be? He tried to remember again, but it was still pointless.
He noticed now that the stranger slowly raised his right hand and held it out to him. With a warm, friendly and shining smile on his face he raised his voice once again: "I need you… Satoshi!" Ohno didn't know why but hearing the sound of that voice made his heart suddenly skipped a beat. Also he now had a lump in his throat and he felt that his eyes got teary for some unknown reason.
Why had those words such a big effect on him? Why was he suddenly wary about going through that gate after hearing such sentences? What should he do now? His mind told him that he should turn around and go towards the light cause there was a peaceful place waiting for him, but his heart told him that he should forget about that place and that he should grab the hand of the person in front of him instead. His thoughts went crazy, was totally confused. Ohno knew he had to make a decision and so he closed his eyes and took a deep breath. "Alone into the light or together into the darkness?" Once again he took a deep breath and when he finally opened up his eyes again, his decision was clear!
Slowly he turned around his head towards the light, a slight smile on his lips.
"I'm really grateful but why should I stay in a bright place all by myself when there is someone here who seems to care for me? You can also drive away the darkness when you have someone at your side!"
As soon as those words came over his lips he turned around and rushed over to the stranger. Once again Ohno looked up to him before his gaze fell on the stranger's hand. He now also raised his but then he hesitated once again; was this really the right decision? But there was no way back now! Not wasting any more thoughts he finally grabbed the stranger's hand which was still held out towards him.
As soon as they touched each other Ohno felt like thunderstruck. Everything suddenly was so clear in front of him, everything had come back to him; all his memories, as if they never had been gone. Warmth flushed trough him and once again he raised his gaze to look into the face of the man opposite him.
When his eyes had fixated on the man, his feelings got out of control. Tears ran over his cheeks and his whole body began to shiver. But all this didn't happen because of sadness but rather because of gladness that he had made the right decision. Because in front of him was the man that meant so much to him, the man that he didn't want to miss in his life.
Sakurai Sho.
Ohno saw that a warm smile spread over Sho's lips now, but then a blinding white light embraced them suddenly and Ohno lost "consciousness".
Looking like a picture of misery Sho sat on the cold floor of the small room and couldn't believe what just had happened. He barely felt the nurse's hand which she carefully placed on his shoulder and how she kneeled down to him.
"I'm sorry…" she just wanted to begin when suddenly a loud beep echoed through the room. This wasn't the only one, a second and third followed. Sho forced himself to look up while his tears still continued to run over his cheeks. His gaze wandered through the room searching for the source of that sound when it finally stuck on the small monitor besides Ohno’s bed. The line that had been completely horizontal up to now had changed into curves again. Up and down it went with every beep that sounded through the room. "What.. how… why…?" those words came shivering out of Sho's lips. He couldn't believe what he was seeing right now. Did his eyes and his ears play a prank on him? Did he become completely insane now?
Puzzled, he looked over to the doctor who, also slightly puzzled, turned towards the patient again. For a short moment there was a strange tension flying through the small room; all eyes were fixated on the man wearing a white cloak. With a trained look he checked Ohno and the machines, did some handholds and finally put away the patient chart. "We… have him back!"
Sho heard those words, but he just couldn't grab them at first. When he turned his gaze towards the unconscious Ohno again, he was able to form a few words although they only came over his lips faintly.
"Ohno.. he .. he is.. not…?" he continued to look straight on his leader without winking once.
While the doctor sorted his stuff the nurse placed his hands softly on Sho's shoulders. A friendly and warm smile could be seen on her lips.
"Don't worry, he is fine again. Your friend has found his way back again. He really is a strong person who surely doesn't want to leave you alone. So please do not worry."
As soon as she had said those words Sho suddenly embraced her and gave her a squeeze. Tears were running over his cheeks again but after all he had gone through those were the most pleasant tears during this night.
He went through hell; just a few seconds ago he had still thought that he had lost the most important person in his life, without being able to tell him what he really felt. After Ohno's last heartbeat his heart had also felt like dead. But a miracle had happened and the loud beep which still echoed through the room was proof enough.
"Oh thank god! Yokatta! He is.. with us again! He has .. not.. left me! He is … alive!" His voice shook, his eyes were red because of the many many tears that he had shed within this whole day, his heart was beating like hell in his breast and his arms embraced the young woman tighter, who was now tapping his back softly and nodded in assurance again and again.
When Sho's tears had dried and he slowly let go of the young woman, the doctor had already left the room. With his left hand he wiped away the last few tears from his face and took a deep breath after that.
"Everything ok again?" he heard the worried voice of the nurse and he slightly nodded.
"Yes, thank you very much and I'm sorry that I…" the woman shook her head softly. "No no, it's ok. The main thing is that you are feeling better again! I will go back to my station again. If I can do something for you…" Sho considered a bit and he thought suddenly struck him.
„Ah yes, could you please bring me my stuff? It's still in the room in which I had been for a short while. Is that possible?" He got a warm smile and short nod as reply.
„Of course. And if something else should come up, please come and call me. Ah and please tell us immediately when your friend wakes up, ok?"
After Sho had promised to do so and the nurse had left the room Arashi's rapper finally stood up from the floor with shaky legs.
The shock of the events still stuck in his limbs. Carefully he took one step after the other, in total concentration so that his knees wouldn't give in. He was relieved when he finally stood at Ohno's side and could sit down on the chair which was still right there.
His hands trembled when he softly stroke away some strands of Riida’s hair from forehead.
Gently he let his hand move along Ohno’s face and let it rest on his cheek.
"That surely was an awful night, right? I will be so delighted when it is finally morning and you can look at me again with your bright eyes." His right hand continued to stroke the cheek of the older one while his left grabbed Ohno’s hand and squeezed it a little.
A soft smile appeared on his lips. Only a few hours were left till sunrise. If Ohno was able to survive those then Sho could finally be sure that his Riida would come back to him again.
Softly Ohno Satoshi perceived the sound of a steady beep when he slowly regained consciousness again. His eyelids felt really heavy and only with great effort he was able to open them a little bit and was now looking with a blurry gaze upon a white ceiling that was not familiar to him. Where was he and what had happened?
It was hard for him to think as an unbelievable tiredness was clinging tightly to him. He wanted to stroke over his eyes with his hand but because of the medication that he had been dosed with, he was too weak to move. Startled and slightly getting in panic that he had no control over his body he looked upon himself. Just now he noticed the respiratory mask that was placed upon his mouth and stared down on his bandaged right hand and the tubes that were connected to his body.
A short stitch went through his head when memory fragments played in front of his inner eye: how he walked along a street, nervous about the upcoming task, how Sho was kissing a woman, how he turned around, how Sho followed him, the red light of a traffic light and blinding headlights of a car.
Right, he was rushing over there to protect Sho from the car that turned around the corner. So it was him that got caught.. but wait: SHO! His eyes widened out of horror! What had happened with Sho? Had he been able to protect him? Where was he? If only Ohno was able to, he would have jumped up turned everything upside down just to get to know how Sho was. But his thoughts were abruptly interrupted when he suddenly felt a slight squeeze on his left hand.
It was difficult for him to turn his head to the side but at last he was able to and was now looking down on his hand which was held by another. Ohno was surprised cause he hadn't noticed at all that someone else had been in this room and was even holding onto his hand.
But still he couldn't recognize who this person was. It wasn't of much help to lift his head a little bit because the only thing that he could now see was a dark shock of hair which rested on the bed.
Arashi's leader got curious now. He wanted to know who that person was that sat beside his bed all night long and held onto his hand. Ohno closed his eyes and began to concentrate. His eyebrows contracted intensely when he tried to concentrate his remained strength into his left hand. He noticed how he lifted his index finger a little bit. But when it moved down again he wasn't able to apply pressure. His index finger was only tapping slightly onto the skin of the other one.
Out of frustration he sighed softly; like this he would never be able to attract attention.
But Ohno was wrong. A short time later he noticed how the shock of hair slowly began to move and a short sleepy grunt could be heard.
The head slowly moved further upwards and when finally a familiar pair of eyes was looking at him tiredly Ohno's breath got caught away for a short while. That person beside his bed was no less than Sakurai Sho. The person that he had expected the least but who brought out the most happiness within him.
For a few seconds the two of them just looked at each other in silence but then a bright smile slowly spread upon Sho's lips.
"Ohayou Satoshi!" the eyes of the younger one flashed at him during this greeting. Ohno didn't know what hit him; he only could stare at the one opposite him and nod slightly.
He noticed how the other let go of his hand and saw how Sho was stretching himself tiredly, let out a yawn and suddenly paused. For a few seconds it was like Arashi's rapper turned to stone.
Then his gaze shot back towards the older one.
"You… you are awake!" stunned his voice echoed through the room. It took awhile till Sho finally grasped the situation.
"Oh god, you are awake Satoshi! You really are awake!" thereupon Sho's face lighted up as much as Ohno had never seen it before.
He could see pure happiness, gladness, so much more in the face of the other, but Riida still couldn't really grasp what was going on just now. When Sho still radiant with joy bent down to him and began to softly stroke through his hair Ohno got totally confused. His heart began to beat wildly, felt how his cheeks reddened and how his eyes got teary. He liked what was just happening, that was a sure thing, but he was afraid. Afraid that all this was only a dream, not real, that his mind only played a trick on him.
He wished that this moment would last forever; Sho's hand in his hair was so warm and soft. But he wasn't allowed to lose himself in that touch! Carefully Ohno opened his mouth to say something but he just couldn't find his voice and Sho also shook his head and let a soft "Pssst" come over his lips. The rapper had now surely noticed the insecurity of him because his gaze became really soft now and he stopped the stroking through his hair.
Instead he sat down beside the bed again and took the hand of the older one in his.
"You don't have to say anything. Save your strength so that you will recover soon. Besides I'm the one that should tell you something." His thumb stroke gently over Ohno's hand and he looked deeply in the older ones eyes.
"I'm sorry Satoshi! All this… was my fault!" His voice was soft, but Ohno also recognized sadness.
"Only because of me all this had happened. I had no clue and was blind. Blind about my feelings and… yours." While he continued to stroke Ohno's hand, his right hand went up to his neck and pulled out the necklace of the older one.
Riida’s eyes widened when he recognized the item. What was going on? His head began to hurt because of all the things that just went down upon him.
"Satoshi or Sho, right?" continued the younger one and let the necklace rest openly upon his shirt now before he grabbed something that was lying on the rack behind him.
"Like this here also." While he was saying that, he held up the closed notebook of Ohno in front of him. In this moment Arashi's leader felt like the time had stopped for a short while. Sho knew it! His deepest secret was disclosed! Sho who was the person that meant the most to him, knew about his real feelings. Panic rose within him. What was now about to happen? How should it go on between both of them? Will this destroy their friendship? Maybe even Arashi? What was Sho thinking about him now? Surely he despised him now! Now everything was over; while such thoughts ran through his head Sho continued to speak: "I'm really sorry that I didn't notice anything during all this time. That you had to endure all this just because of me. But I can promise you something!" While he was saying that he began to flip through the small notebook until he had found a specific page. "From now on you won't have to be alone anymore. I will always be at your side! Because…" Slowly he began to turn the notebook in his hand until the opened page faced Ohno. On one page there was the latest drawing that the older one had made but then Riida recognized something on the opposite; something that he hadn't drawn there:
Speechless he stared at the paper. That couldn't be true! That surely was… but when he looked up into the face of the younger one that smiled at him lovingly and when he heard him say "Aishiteru yo!" softly Ohno felt like a huge burden had been taken away from his heart. Immediately tears stared to run over his cheeks and a bitter sobs echoed through the room. Everything he had hoped for the whole time had come true in this instant. All the time he had hoped that Sho could stay at his side but he never had expected that this wish really would come true. He had thought that he would always only be Sho's leader, but now…
One tear after the other ran over the cheeks of the older one. Sho put down the notebook, shifted the chair nearer to the bed and began to gently stroke away the tears from Ohno's face.
"Ssh shh everything is alright Satoshi! I'm here now!" said the rapper softly while his fingers continued to gently stroke over the other’s face.
After some time the tears got fewer and only a soft sniff could be heard. Sho bent slowly down to Ohno and placed a sweet kiss on his forehead. While the older one blinked a few times, a bright and shining smile appeared on his lips.
"Now everything is ok, right?" Arashi's leader was now also able to let a light smile appear on his face.
But then he suddenly noticed that Sho slowly let up on him and stood up from the chair. Automatically Ohno's left hand shot up and grabbed the shirt of the younger one. With a strong grip he held the fabric in his hand to prevent other one from leaving him alone in this room.
Fear began to run through his body, fear that the darkness in which he had been, before he woke up in this room, could catch him and get lost in it again.
"Don't worry, I'll be right back! I'll only tell the doctors that you have woken up and then I’d be right back at your side again! I promised you, right? That I won't leave you alone anymore!" Another bright smile appeared on Sho's face and when the older one saw this he was sure that there was no need anymore to fear anything. No matter what happened now Sho would always be at his side! Sho, the person whom he loved and who loved him in return! Ohno loosened his grip a little bit and allowed the younger one to depart slowly.
Immediately after Sho had let up on him Arashi's leader felt that infinite tiredness again which had hogged his body before.
But he constrained himself to continue to turn his gaze upon as Sho, whose back was now facing him, slowly opened the door behind which he vanished a moment later.
But apparently this was the exact moment the gnawing tiredness had waited for. As soon as Ohno was alone in the room his eyelids began to get heavier in the blink of an eye. Everything around him seemed to blur and to fade. The sound of the machines that had filled the small room until now got more muffled and silent. The strength in his arms that he had just felt when he tried to stop Sho from going away left him. Ohno tried to fight against it. He had to win against the approaching darkness! He wasn't allowed to lose because he wanted to look into the shining face of Sho again from the bottom of his heart.
But after a few seconds the fight had already been decided. Arashi's leader couldn't find the strength anymore to let his eyes open. All the thoughts that had been in his mind just now faded away. The last thing that flared up in his mind was Sho smling at him.
Like a veil, darkness and silence now began to lie over him.

CHAPTER 7
It was dark. Dark and cold was the place where Ohno Satoshi was now. And there was something strange; just now he had had the feeling that his whole life had been shown right in front of his eyes. All those things, that he had done and experienced, all the people that he had met and became friends with and those, that had a special place in his heart. But as soon as that “movie of his life” was over, all of Ohnos memories were blown away. He didn’t know where he was, how he reached that place and even who he was, was a mystery for him now. It was like someone had grabbed an eraser and deleted all of his memories like the writing on a paper.
Frantically he tried to remember; remember some trivial things that could give him a hint on who he was and what he was doing here. But no matter how hard he tried, it just didn’t occur to him. What should he do now? He, who didn’t even know his own name. He tried to look around, but it was so dark that even the sharpest eyes couldn’t see anything in that room. Slowly he stood up from the cold floor on which he had sat until now and began to grope his way along the wall. Only now he recognized that this room wasn’t just pitch black, but also that there was no sound echoing in there. There was dead silence and even his own steps didn’t make any sound. What was this place? Panic spread within him while he took one step after the other groping along the wall. Something was wrong here! Definitely! No matter how far he went, there was just no end in sight. But he didn’t want to give up, further and further he groped along the wall. Because the only thing he knew for sure was that he wanted to leave this place as soon as possible. But as he went on the air became colder and colder and also his steps got lazier with every step he took. He noticed how his strength slowly left his body and tiredness spread within him. After some more steps he couldn’t go on anymore and so he sat down on the cold floor again. ‘Will I have to stay here forever? Alone, with this terrible feeling of emptiness within me?’ this cruel thought flashed through his mind and he recognized how his hands began to shake out of despair. He wanted to leave this place, wanted to be at a place much warmer and brighter. A place where he could feel secure. What should he do? What? He buried his head in his still shaking hands.
But then, all of a sudden, he saw a bright ray of light out of the corner of his eyes. When he looked up, he recognized that a gate had opened out of nowhere at some distance from where that ray of light was now shining.
With this sight hope awakened within him once again. He would be able to leave this terrible place; he just had to reach that gate! With all his strength left Ohno lifted himself up again, found support on the wall and did one step after the other. He didn’t know what was awaiting him behind that gate, but it could only be much better than this desolated place. The light that was shining from the gate gave him a feeling of calming, hope and also infinite protection; it was a feeling that let him think that he didn’t want to leave this place behind the gate ever again.
This thought encouraged him and so he gave his all to move forward. With each step… coming closer to his goal.
A short while after he had fallen asleep Sho was woken by a strange sound. He still was in twilight sleep and so he couldn’t figure out what that sound was about at first. “Why is there a non-stop beep?... Ah this is a really awkward sound! My ears are hurting!” he was thinking just now.
But then a horrible thought raced through his mind and all of a sudden he had jumped up from his chair and starred with wide opened eyes over to the display of Ohnos heartbeat monitor. The up and down going curve from just a few moments ago had changed to a continuous horizontal line. Sho turned to stone. He couldn’t do anything else than stand stiffly and stare at the screen in disbelief.
“That’s not true! That cannot be! No, no, that’s not...“, were the only words that came across his lips.
But the reality was shown to him quite plainly again when a nurse suddenly pushed him away rudely and he saw how the doctor ripped open Ohno’s shirt hastily and charged the defibrillator that was standing in reach.
When the pads of the defibrillator touched Ohno’s chest for the first time and the body of the older one reared up under the power of the current surge, Sho felt as if his heart froze to ice and fell down a deep and dark abyss where it burst into millions of small shivers at last.
The doctor placed the pads on Ohno’s body for a second time and current surge raced through the lifeless body of Arashi’s leader again. But still, the horizontal line on the screen didn’t change.
Sho was at his end, with every current surge more and more energy left his body and more and more tears ran down his cheeks, his chest corded up so much that breathing got difficult for him. It was boiling inside of him: fear, anger, despair. He had to do something; something to save Ohno, but there was only one thing he could do at the moment. Screaming out his feelings in the hope that he would be heard. “Ohno! Damn it! You cannot just give up now! You are strong! You have gone through the most already, there are only some hours left till the morning! You have to hang on! You cannot just let us down here! You are our leader! We need you!“
But what helped Sho to find himself again a little bit, was something that displeased the nurse and the doctor. The man gave a brief look to the nurse and she understood that she should escort Arashi’s rapper out of the room. But for Sho it was a sure thing that he wouldn’t leave Leader in lurch. He used all of his available strength to struggle against the nurse and clung to the chair beside him so that he could stay in the room.
The struggle lasted some time, but suddenly Sho stopped moving and so did the nurse. His gaze fell on the doctor who put aside his equipment at that moment and reached for a pencil and file. The monitor was still showing a horizontal line.
Suddenly Sho’s mind went totally blank. A few seconds he just stared down at the calm figure of Ohno.
„No, no, no, no, no, no, no... that’s not true! That cannot be! No, Satoshi! You can’t be serious! Satoshi! You are not allowed to … I need you! You cannot just leave me alone! No... I need you Satoshi! SATOSHI!!“
Slowly he slugged to the ground, the nurse had not the strength to hold him. Tears were falling in showers. Both of his arms embraced his body strongly and he was bouncing back and forth with his upper body in the hope that this would calm him down a little bit and save him from becoming insane. But he felt like he also just lost his last breath of life.
Jaa .. faster than thought ne .. but also ... shorter than before ^.~ Think this is the shortest chapter ever... ^.~
But you all know .. I have some problems with writing at the moment .. so I decided to split the chapter as I have finished the first half and so minna doesn't have to wait so long for an update. The next chapter is in work, I will try my best .. so give me some time ne .. onegai.
And.. I'm sorry..
English translation is also in work and coming soon ^________________^
KAPITEL 7
Was sollte er jetzt tun?
Was nur?
„Nein, nein, nein, nein, nein, nein…. Das ist nicht wahr, das geht nicht! Nein, Satoshi! Das ist nicht dein Ernst! Satoshi! Du darfst nicht… Ich brauche dich doch! Du kannst mich nicht allein lassen! Nein .. ich brauche dich, Satoshi! SATOSHI!!!“

XDD
Many, many years had passed since the tragic events that had kept Tokyos residents in suspense. By now barely one could remember the name “Amano Makoto” and all the awful happenings that this name had summoned. Most people had forgotten all this already, but there was one person that had never stopped to keep those memories in her heart.
Sakita Shiori lived her life with full strength every day and enjoyed each and every minute, however she had never forgotten the case “Amano Makoto” and all the people that were involved. Especially that one person she just couldn’t banish from her heart.
Shioris gaze fell on a picture that she was holding in her slender hand which was now taken along and wrinkled throughout the years. You could see three persons on it: Shiori was sitting at a round table of the small café, beside her was Sora-chan standing with a big smile on her face showing a victory sign into the camera and beside her, also sitting, was a young man wearing a black suit with a slight smile on his lips. One that had only been seen on extremely rare occasions.
Shioris heart ached at the thought that she had not been able to protect this smile. She had tried everything in her past; however fate had not been on her side. That tragic night she had lost him; the man that she had given her heart to and for whom she wanted to become an angel: Naruse Ryo.
When she heard that steps were coming closer to her, she turned her gaze away from the picture and looked up to the person that was now standing beside her. It was a woman with long dark hair and a friendly smile on her lips. “Sora-chan, you are still here?” Those were the surprising words that Shiori said to her. Sora-chan had grown up to a gallant woman. Although she didn’t know the real story behind Naruse Ryo, she also couldn’t really forget that man ever.
When Shioris friend had decided to stop keeping the café, it was Sora-chan that had taken over that business. She had known how much that place meant to Shiori and she herself had made so many nice memories there. Since then she carried on with that business and she never had stopped calling Shiori “Shiori-neesan”. Also Shiori still called her “Sora-chan”.
Sora took one of the chairs from the table and sat besides the rocking chair in which her older friend was seated. “Hai, I cashed up so that I don’t have to do that tomorrow morning”, she replied Shiori with a bright smile. “Are you looking at that picture of us again? It’s really a wonderful photo. It was a good thing that my mom took it on that day, wasn’t it?” Shiori nodded slightly, but Sora could see, how sadness reflected in her eyes.
“You are still missing him Shiori-neesan, right?” a slight smile rushed over Shioris face, and then she brushed one gray strand of her hair out of her face with her hand. “Nee, Sora-chan. I had a fulfilling live, hadn’t I?” Sora looked surprisingly at her. „Eh? What’s that for a question?“ Again there was a slight smile on the face of the older woman. “I’m just saying. After all, I’m not the youngest anymore, my time’s running out. I just want to be able to say that I had lived my life at the best. That I had never given up, even after losing something so precious”, gently she stroke over her the photo with her aged hand. “You did that Shiori-neesan! You gave your best!” smilingly Sora replied her. „Thank you Sora-chan! Thank you for everything!” Both women looked at each others eyes and a soft laughter leaked Soras lips.
“If you are saying it like this then it sounds almost like a goodbye! But don’t forget, I’m coming back tomorrow morning. After all someone has to attend to the shop.“ She stood up and while passing she stroke gently over the older ones arm. “We see each other tomorrow!” Shiori nodded slightly, heard how the steps of the younger one moved away, how the door opened and the small bell rang when it closed again. Now she was all alone in the small building. Carefully she stood up from her rocking chair, put the photo on the table in front of her and walked some heavy steps towards the opposite commode. In the first drawer there was a medium-sized box, which Shiori hadn’t held in her hand, not to mention opened for many years already.
But today she wanted to take a look at it again. Therefore she lifted the box up and went back to her rocking chair. With slightly shaking hands she removed the lid and put it aside. Her gaze turned towards the content: a kid’s book, a flyer for a firework, a casket, a letter, a harmonica and tarot cards. She eyed everything accurately. How many years had past since she had seen all those things the last time? She couldn’t remember anymore, but even now, after all those years, each and every item still meant so much to her. She noticed how her heart began to beat faster instinctively and how her memories flushed through her mind. How she had met Sora for the first time, how they had sat together in the café a little later and Naruse had read from the book, how she had gotten the flyer from her friend abd stood in front of him with wild beating heart asking him if they could go there together.
How she had waited for him and almost lost the hope that he would come. But then, he had come after all. Much too late, but that hadn’t mattered cause what mattered was that he had come for her and they had spent the most beautiful evening together doing fireworks.
But she also remembered the pain that followed afterwards, when he had told her that this was the last time they had met and how the truth had come to light thereupon. The painful truth about the real identity of this man. But despite everything Shiori had known that he hadn’t been as cruel as everyone had thought; he had also had a really friendly, gentle, kind-hearted side and when she had held the letter in her hands and read it, she had known that she had to save this man no matter what! On his and her behalf!
Even today her heart ached when thinking about how everything had ended. What she had seen on that nigh and what had broken her heart. She had not been able to save him; he was gone and had taken her heart with him. Even though she had continued to live a happy life, she hadn’t been able to give her heart to someone else, as she had already given her heart to him.
Slowly she reached for the pretty wooden casket and opened it. A song that she knew very well started to play: “Over the rainbow” – her favorite song. Quietly she hummed the song a little bit, but then she put the casket on the table in front of her, however she let the lid open so that the beautiful melody kept playing.
The next item that she took in her hands was her old tarot cards. It has been a while since the last time she had laid them. Slowly she began to shuffle them. After some rounds she finally drew a covert card from the middle and laid the rest aside. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes before she flipped the card slowly over in her hand. When she opened her eyes again, she stared surprised at the motive.
She had expected everything, but not this one. Of course she knew the meaning of this card but she was unable to make head or tail of what could really be behind it. Although it confused her, there was a slight, almost happy sparkling in her eyes.
But that was disappearing all of a sudden, when she heard steps behind her; steps that approached her. “Sora-chan? Did you forget anything? I haven’t heard how you…“. While she was speaking, she turned around to the direction of the visitor, but what she saw, left her speechless. “Hisashiburi* Shiori-san!” Her gaze fell on the face of a smiling man with beautiful eyes, full lips and black shining hair. He was wearing a noble looking suit and although Shioris eyesight wasn’t the best anymore, she immediately knew who was standing only a few steps away from her in the small café. For a short while her heart almost stopped beating and the sight took her breath away.
“Na- Naruse-san?” disbelieving came the name over her lips. She had to wink a few times until she registered that this wasn’t a dream. Her pulse began to beat faster and her grip around the tarot card, which she still hold in her hands, became firmer.
All these years she had to live her live without her beloved, all these years had made her grown old, all these years there hadn’t been t a day she could forget that special person, all these years she had wished profoundly to see him again. And now, on this rainy day, suddenly he stood in front of her. He hadn’t changed a bit; he still looked like the Naruse that Shiori remembered. Like how he looked on the faded photo. But the sadness, the despair, the anger and the hate that had been hidden within him in the past was gone.
“What … why .. are you here?” echoed her voice tremblingly in the room. “I came because of you.” His voice was music in her ears. Could he only speak to her eternally. „I wanted to see you again!“
Shiori couldn’t withhold a soft laughter. “This could have been my sentence. How I had wished to see you again for all these years. All these years I had hoped that there was a way to be by your side again…. But as much as I had hoped and prayed, you didn’t come back. You hadn’t come to get me.“ The young man noticed the sad smile that was now appearing on her lips.
“I hadn’t wanted that you throw away your life. You should enjoy your life, savour it completely and I know you did that. Not like me. There were hard times, but there were also really nice times, right?” Shiori had to smile. Yes, he was right. Despite everything she had lived a beautiful life.
“But now…” he paused for a brief moment and stared at the floor as if he first had to collect himself. When he looked up again, Shiori could see uncertainty in his eyes. She remembered their time together in the past. There had also been many moments in which he had looked at her like this. Mostly he had ran away then, but today she noticed that something had changed in the look of the man.
The uncertainty changed to determination. “Shiori-san, I know it’s been a long time, but… do you still want to be my angel?” Her eyes widened out of surprise and it seemed like time had stopped. This was exactly what she had wished for all these years and what still hadn’t changed even now. There was a feeling of freedom spreading within her after hearing those words; a big burden vanished from her soul, because finally, finally after all this time it seemed like her biggest wish was coming true.
Shiori wasn’t replying. Instead she stood up and rushed over to Naruse to finally put her arms around his neck and embrace him dearly. Tears were running down her cheeks, but those were tears out of happiness.
With one hand the lawyer stroke gently over her head, while he wrapped the other one around her body tightly to give her a squeeze. He never wanted to leave her alone anymore. “Finally! I have missed you so much! I will be your angel. For ever and ever!“. Just now when hearing her light sounding voice, she noticed that she had changed back to her young self. The wrinkles and the crumpled skin was gone; she was now looking like her old self from the past when she had met Naruse for the first time.
Slowly they parted from their embrace and looked at each other’s eyes deeply. The lawyer raised his hand carefully and stroked away the last tear of Shiori’s cheek with his thumb. He let his hand rest on the soft skin and noticed how it turned slightly pink and how Shiori looked at him shyly and unsure suddenly. Normally this was also a moment for him to feel unsure, but no, this time he finally wanted to take the step which he already wanted to take years ago, but couldn’t as he strayed from the right path.
Gently he held her head while his face slowly bent down to her. When her faces were only a few centimetres apart from each other, Shiori closed her eyes. Smoothly she felt his tender lips on hers. Heat flushed through her body and her heart began to beat faster. She felt like during that one night when they both had lid the fireworks. Free from everything, only her fast beating heart and the warmth of the man, whom she had given her heart for all time.
Tightly his arms embraced her body and squeezed her. And she also put her arms around him, dug her head deep in his shoulder and inhaled his scent. Never again they wanted to let go of the other.
It was early in the morning, when Sora-chan came back to the small cafe. She was surprised to find Shiori still sitting in the racking chair while the melody of the casket was still playing.
Slowly she went over to her friend. “Shiori-neesan! Have you slept here all night long? You should have better gone to your bed!” But when she put her hand on the shoulder of the supposed sleeping woman, her eyes widened out of shock. “Shiori… neesan?” There was no reply. Suddenly her gaze went to something that Shiori was holding in her hand. With shaking hands she lifted it up and looked at it. It was a tarot card.
“The Lovers” could be seen on the front and when she flipped the card over she noticed that someone had handwritten something on the back:
“Together for all eternity”
Tears were running down her cheeks, but there was also a slight smile appearing on her face.
Shiori had found her peace … at the side of her lover.

CHAPTER 6
Sho hurried along the wide corridor. Actually, he didn’t really know where he had to go, but his feet didn’t want to stop. Just when he turned around a corner and saw Jun, standing some meters away and bowing in front of a man with a white coat, his steps got slower.
After the other man had vanished, the youngest Arashi member turned around and was surprised to find Sho standing in front of him. Fiercely he knit his brows. “Normally I would have lectured you, how you could jump out of your bed without an approval from one of the doctors here.” He approached the older one a bit more and let a small, sympathetic smile appear on his face. “But I cannot blame you. After all it’s about Riida, ne.“ Gently he placed his hand on Sho’s shoulder. „Jun, that guy right now, he was a doctor, right? One that treated Ohno? Where is Riida? How is he? Can I go and see him?“ there was a slight pleading sound in the rappers voice and with a hopeful expression he looked directly in the eyes of the opposite.
“Listen Sho, I settled with the docs that you are allowed to go and see him, cause his family still isn’t here. But about his condition…” his gaze went to the ground between them for a short while and he thought hard how he could tell the other what the doctor had just told him. “What’s up with him, Jun?” Sho grabbed the younger one’s shoulder with both of his hands. Concern and fear could be heard in his trembling voice. “Well, you could say he was more or less lucky. He has some fractures but those will heal without further ado, that’s what the doc told me. His spine escaped unscathed! But…“ Jun’s pause let Sho almost go crazy. His grip around the other one’s shoulder got tighter and he noticed how his throat corded up because of all the fear about the oldest Arashi member and the pause that still continued and that spelt trouble. “I don’t really get all those medical words, but what I understood is that Ohno had a wound at his abdomen which seemed quite deep and that caused a much loss of blood. “Sho, listen … only when Ohno gets through this night the docs can tell us that he’s out of woods! Not until tomorrow morning…” Jun noticed how the older one tensed up, how his gaze went blank and how his hands lost their grip and slipped down along his body. Sho’s heart ached.
He had hoped so much for another message; one that would erase all his worry and fear. But it failed to appear. He would have to fear and hope for several more hours.
He noticed Jun’s warm hand on his shoulder, which squeezed it encouragingly. Slowly he let his gaze wander to the younger one and was surprised about the hopeful look with which the other one looked at him. “Don’t worry. I’m sure, everything will be alright! We know Riida! He is a person that never gives up! He is strong! He will fight and he will win for sure!“
Sho realized how hope slowly came back to him and how his body relaxed bit by bit again. A quick smile appeared on his face. “Thank you Jun!“ But the opposite only shook his head slightly. “I didn’t do anything. But you should do something now! Riida is waiting for you! So hurry up! And take good care of him, but also of yourself! Promise me, that despite everything, you will rest a bit! And a nurse should remove the catheter of the drip on your hand”, with a wink he pointed to Sho’s right hand.
The latter had cut the connection to the drip in his hurry, but the catheter was still stuck in his hand. “Well, what are you waiting for? 3rd floor! Go!” the youngest Arashi member gave Sho a slight push, so that he finally began to move. He saw how the older took a deep breath once again and after that began to walk resolutely towards the elevator. Jun also took a deep breath as soon as Sho had vanished.
Up till now he had packed himself with all possible tasks. He had been in constant contact with Ohno’s and his own manager, told them about the situation, tried to work on an emergency plan for the further procedure with them and also to comfort them.
In between he had bought something to drink and eat for Aiba, Nino and himself and finally he had headed off to one of the doctors to ask him about Ohno’s condition and to ask him that at least Shochan would be allowed to go and see the oldest Arashi member. During this time Jun hadn’t had any free minute to ponder over the whole situation. But now all tasks were settled. There was nothing left that he could do and so he noticed that awful depressive feeling came back to him. Even though he had not dissemble anything, but he also was scared; a feeling that tore him apart mentally. Once again he glanced over to the now closed elevator in which Sho had vanished. “Sho-kun, you will take care of him! So that we five can laugh together again”, the most important task was now with Arashi’s rapper and for Jun and the others there was nothing left to do anymore except to go home and find some rest, to wait and to hope.
When the door from the elevator opened at the third floor slowly and Sho saw a sign with the writing „intensive care“ immediately after that, he felt how an oppressive feeling spread within him. With every step he took, his heart began to beat faster, his pulse went up and he got more and more nervous. Actually he wanted to be happy about the fact that he would be able to be at Ohno’s side again in a few minutes, but the constant fear that stuck deep in his soul was working hard to suppress that happy feeling.
His steps slowed down, but finally he arrived at the nurse room where he asked the sisters about Ohno and also to remove the catheter. For a short while he calmed down a bit again. The kindness of the sister, her soft voice, let him settle down.
“You are ok now, the catheter is gone. Then we will take you to your friend finally. He surely awaits you already”, with those words she placed her hand on his shoulder and guided him slowly out of the nurse room.
Again there was this oppressive feeling in him. That feeling that appeared because he didn’t really know what to expect. He was scared, scared of what was awaiting him behind that closed door that was now in front of them. The nurse gave him a friendly smile. “Here we are. I will leave now. If something should happen, you can call me anytime.“ Sho nodded thankfully. When the nurse had vanished out of his sight, he was still standing in front of the closed door hesitantly. He wanted to open it, wanted to finally be on Ohno’s side again, but was he really already prepared for that what was awaiting him? His heart began to beat wildly now, he took a deep breath, closed his eyes and grabbed the cold iron doorknob with his hand. “Now or never!” and with one pull the heavy white door opened and he took a big step inside the room.
His gaze fell immediately on the bed that was situated at the end of the room. There, Ohno was lying, silently and motionless, surrounded by too many machines. A steady beep and a line on a monitor that was going up and down revealed that the heart of the older one was beating as it should be. But in consideration of the many tubes that were connected with the pale Riida and the many bandages and the respiratory mask that was situated on his mouth and nose, this noise couldn’t calm him down at all. His heart ached, so much, that he thought it was pierced by thousands of small needles. Something strangled his chest, breathing became difficult and he noticed that his eyes got teary. That sight was too much for him. It was much worse than the sight right after the accident. To see Ohno helpless connected to machines; something that Arashi’s rapper had never wanted to see.
Sho blamed himself for what had happened. Only because of him, Ohno was now in that situation. But Sho knew, he wasn’t allowed to think like that! The other members had already reprimanded him because of that and he had to be there for Ohno now. Slowly he took one step after the other until he stopped in front of the bed. With teary eyes and aching heart he looked down to his leader. One single tear ran down his cheek, when he noticed that Ohno’s right hand was also bandaged. The hand that had to be the most important for the unconscious Riida, because with this he was able to make all his amazing arts and to hold the fishing rod with a strong grip. Sho remembered Jun’s words ‚ He has some fractures but those will heal without further ado…” but this just didn’t alter the fact! Carefully, he took Ohno’s left hand in his and sat slowly on the chair that was situated beside the bed. Gently he stroke over the pale, but so soft skin. If he could only undo this day, if only he could be in Ohno’s shoes, if he could only do something for his leader!
Sho felt so helpless and lost and just couldn’t hold the tears back. One after the other they ran down his cheeks. “Ohno please forgive me! I’m so sorry. My deepest desire is that you come back to us! Therefore, please hold on! Please!“ his grip around the others hand got stronger. ‘Please god, let him survive this night! Please let him get better again! I still have so much to tell him! And I want to have him back all healthy again, want to see him dancing and singing and laughing again!’ Normally Sho wasn’t a person that would send prayers towards the heaven, but he knows that in this situation there was only one that could help him.
A long time Sho just sat there in silence; still holding Ohno’s hand, his gaze on the peaceful face of the older one and listening to the steady beep of his heartbeat. But slowly tiredness overcame him. He forced himself to stay awake, to not let his eyes turn away from Ohno, but after some time he just couldn’t fight against it anymore.
He couldn’t keep his eyes open anymore and so he slowly fell asleep on the chair besides Ohno’s bed.

KAPITEL 6
„Also dann, worauf wartest du noch? Dritter Stock!
„Ohno vergib mir bitte!
